Wildlife comes to your front door - up close and personal

Of course the birds visit to see what you have for treats. And Ground squirrels and Pine squirrels provide entertainment all day. But wait until you see the activity in the meadow. Two game trails intersect off your deck. It's a great place to see Moose, Elk, Mule Deer, the occasional pair of Coyotes and Bears: all forest dwellers on their way to the creek.

The pair of Rocky Mountain Sheep (above) were snapped by Alicia Nelson on Trail Ridge Road, but they are frequent visitors to the cliffs above Highway 34 as you travel from Estes Park toward Loveland through the Big Thompson Canyon. The canyon's towering walls of granite are a spectacular sight to see.
